To Drive a Vehicle Recovery Service Vehicle
•You must have held a full New Zealand driver licence for at least two years before you can apply for a V endorsement. •You must hold the correct class of licence for the gross vehicle mass (GVM) of the vehicle you will be driving •Class 1 licence up to 6,000 kg •Class 2 licence from 6,001 kg to 18,000 kg •Class 4 licence from 18,000 kg upwards). •The V endorsement must be showing (endorsed) on your drivers license before you can drive a VRS vehicle |
If you hold US 24089 Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements you only have to complete the NZTA Approved Course 17580. If you dont hold 24089 you will be required to complete both Unit Standards 24089 and 17580.
